The House of Boris serves as the domain name for the projects of artist Tara Mathison. She has worked almost ten years under this guise and thus, often prefers this strange mix of anonymity and exhibitionism instead of the rather boring, “taramathison.com”. Mathison’s projects, to name a few, have included radio, photography, print, sculpture, performance and curating. She is an avid list maker, mix maker and enjoys using her Sommelier prowess to bully others and taste great things. An MFAer (from the University of Wisconsin – Madison) since 2007, she lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
